Consistency is vital in localisation. It is important for an end user to buy a new version or an upgrade of a product and find the terminology he/she has already become familiar with. In most cases, a project-specific glossary in a format specified by the customer is part of our deliverables. However, for big projects or projects dealing with specific topics requiring a lot of research work, we always create and update glossaries in order to centralise terminology and ensure consistency among our translators.
CORRECT TERMINOLOGY
Every translation, and in particular technical and scientific translations, requires an appropriate and specific terminology in the industry. Finding the appropriate terminology implies a thorough search work without which specialists in a sector would not find the terms known to them, or would feel they are reading a translated text that was not written in their own language, which is even worse.
GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THE SECTOR
We have the tools and knowledge necessary to create and update project glossaries in the formats specified by our customers. Some of these formats are compatible with the most popular CAT tools and are easy to integrate with the translation work.
SEARCH
We never neglect the work of terminological research and glossaries, regardless of whether they are required in the final delivery.
